Excellence Through Christ

As a ministry of Springs Church, we teach God's Word in a modern and relevant way.

Academics

Our provincially certified educators support and challenge every child.

  • Rank top 5 in Manitoba’s national Math Contest
  • Score higher than average for provincial standards exams
  • Graduate well prepared for post-secondary studies

Technology

We integrate technology into all aspects of our curriculum. We offer our students:

  • A state-of-the-art computer lab equipped with dual-platform iMacs
  • Two portable labs with laptop computers
  • Access to the state-of-the-art Springs Church media department
  • Classes in video game development, digital film/photography, and broadcast media
  • A hands-on, modern science lab

Athletics

SCA combines athletic excellence with character development and life skills. We offer competitive athletics in provincially ranked volleyball and basketball teams, as well as physical education classes and mini-clinics for special skills training.

Fine Arts

SCA offers numerous opportunities for creative development and growth. Students are introduced to band and choir instruction in Grade 7 with electives such as drama and art available through Grade 12.

French

At SCA, we use the “Histoires en Action” program to teach valuable language skills. Basic French is mandatory up to Gr. 8 and available as an elective through Gr. 12.

Youth Parliament

Youth Parliament allows students an opportunity to practice public speaking and debate skills.

Students form ministries, propose legislation and follow parliamentary procedure. This unique experience brings many MLAs, MPs and other important political visitors to our school.

Travel

We believe in giving students the opportunity to experience the world first-hand within the company and safety of their Christian community.

  • Students at every grade level participate in Spiritual Emphasis Retreats, connecting students with one another and God
  • Grade 8 students travel to Memphis, TN as the culmination of their studies on Civil Rights
  • Every second year, 11th and 12th graders travel to Europe during Spring Break
  • Ski and camping trips are organized by the Athletic Department every year
